Lose Weight! Do Diet

Lose Weight, Do Diet”,

that’s what they said back in my teen even I kept heard that until I was 25. I did it, the diet! I lost up to 7 kgs in less than 2 weeks when I was 16 with an extreme diet of ate 1–2 bananas or whatever fruits with two meatballs and cheese with light exercise. I remembered how painful and suffered I was with heavy headache but I kept doing it. I gained around 20KGS when I was in Australia.

Then, I went back to Jakarta, I did try several diets; from used one of the famous nutritions until took those unnamed pills that had no idea about its productions. There was this pill that energised you and pumped your heartbeat for 8 hours; pushed you to be super active. I had to do exercises a lot but then you know, none of it really working rightly for me. I ended up suffered; more depressed — emotionally, physically and mindfully tortured until I lost confidence. I was not able to do heavy exercise after I found out I had fatty liver and it forced me to change the food and drink I had. Slowly, I ate more chicken than beef; I ate very less fried food and snacks; more fruits and I said goodbye to Pepsi and other soda’s drink.

Frustrated with painful diets I did, the new style of “so not called diet”, did wonder to me.

No! It is not an instant process. After a year, you only could see the slow changes. I did it because I had to, my body wanted it so and I hadn’t had any expectations neither had a thought of losing weight.

Ever since, I began to change my thought of “being skinny, being pretty and diet” into WHATEVER with principle of “If I don’t like my body, then do something, if I do, then keep it that way”. Unconsciously, I’m starting to gain back my confidence and until now, every year I could lose weight up to 3 kgs by itself without efforts, without cutting down my food intake and if you see how much I can eat, you’d wonder that my body shape should had been bigger than now.

You can be skinny and yet still feel you are fat. You can wear the best makeup products or use the best make up artist, and yet feel not the prettiest; there’s always something lacking in you. But, if you keep following those thoughts, when are you going to feel good about your appearances?

Let asidee talk about your inner beauty. Inner beauty shall shines more, but our outer look also has a big influence, supporting role too. Your confidence also comes from your outside appearance; you must love the image of you in the mirror too. Although you could said “ I don’t care about other’s judgement”, but at the same time you may not like your “appearances”and physical look whenever you see a reflection of you in the mirror.

I am not saying if you are overweight/underweight, you need to change yourself. I’m just saying to just truly accept and evaluate yourself. Lose or Gain weight, if you need to do so. If you are not feeling comfortable on how you look, then change it not because you want to impress the outer world; but to empower to love yourself more.

When you eat, eat without guilts; but eat mindfully. If you eat while having a guilt in mind, your body vibrates negative reactions. Do you aware of that? Your body cells get affected with your energy vibrations. When you’re happy, your body burns more energy, but when you are sad or in victim mode, your body drains a lot of your energy but at the same time, craving for more and more that led you to gain more weight.

Diet is not meant to be punishment for you.

Diet is actually eating rightly and feeding your body with the right nutritions. That’s why you need to analyse your body and understand its cravings and reactions toward certain emotions and situations. Of course you can go to nutritions , gym and everything but first, you are the owner of your body and each organs able to speak to you. Identify your body first, then consult. For example : suddenly, you feel like eating pineapple/watermelon, that’s the way your body speaks to you. Or if you want to be on diet out of no where, then do so.

Follow the voice of your heart, listen to what your organ tries to tell you and don’t do self-sabotaging. If you don’t like, take actions and change it but not everyone ways of losing weight fits rightly for your body. Make sure it’s comfortable enough for you and able to handle the circumstances. Don’t believe much in those “diet programs, pills and such things”. For other may work perfectly but might not for you. I got my Gastric Acid problem because of one of the famous nutritions products and I have to suffer that until now.

It’s not worth it to harm yourself for the sake of being skinny. Diet shall be helping you to balance your life not leads to body’s destruction that you may won’t feel later in life.

Just be honest with yourself and love each process of it; don’t be in a rush. Do as what your body truly needs and don’t push your ego too far. What good does it do to you, when you’re in perfect shape, in the right range of weight while your body cells and organs are losing its function, slowly? Eat rightly, Exercise within your capacity and the most, love yourself even more. Start to accept how you look physically, and change how you dresses if it’s neeeded. If you are not able to accept yourself and letting the processes give its best results, then you’d never feel good about your body and look.
