The Scars

This is just a simple and short writing when I saw the scar in my hand. This is not just one scar, but there are several more in both of my hands. It does not look good to the eye of others; few scars look like I tried to hurt myself but none of it was true. Scar kills beauty especially for us, women, but by just embracing it, then we see scars as a part of us.
A scar is an area of fibrous tissue that replaces normal skin after an injury. Scars result from the biological process of wound repair in the skin, as well as in other organs and tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g., after accident, disease, or surgery) results in some degree of scarring.

Just like the definition of scar, itself, that is what scar do to us in life too.
No matter how forgiving we are toward pains we have gone through in life, there will be scars and become a scar. Scars shall not meant to weaken us, but to remind us how strong we are.
Some of us may be too cautious in life, planned everything carefully and yet still fall into the hole in front of them, and a scar will popped up. We protect ourself so much, so we won’t feel so much pains, we are so afraid of mistakes, of pains, but we forget one ultimate thing in life :
When we need to learn new lessons in life, Universe always find its way to make us learn and move forward
So don’t be ashamed with your scars, tell them courageously with pride whenever someone ask you or when you tell them your story. You are Brave! And by sharing those stories, you are also healing yourself even more. Every scars have stories to be shared, whether it is physical or emotional scars, don’t hide it.
Like Rumi said “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
